The Danish economy is expected to continue to expand robustly in the coming years. GDP growth is estimated to be high and around 3 per cent both this year and next year. More moderate GDP growth of 1.7 per cent is not expected until 2026. The pharmaceutical industry's production and exports in particular are driving growth in all three years, as in the two previous years. At the same time, increased domestic demand and an improvement in Danish export markets are expected to contribute to broader progress across industries. The expectation of gradually more moderate growth implies a gradual decrease in capacity pressure and less pressure on the labour market.
